Wait Time When Purchasing a Firearm
There is no waiting time to purchase a firearm in Tennessee, however there is a background check which involves filling out a 4473 form which usually takes ten minutes. The cost for this service is a non-refundable $10.00 per transaction. A photo ID with your current address is required. If you are a Tennessee resident, the photo ID must be a Tennessee-issued ID. If you have changed your address but not on your photo ID, you can do so online with the state at www.tennessee.gov.
Any Out-of-state residents purchasing a rifle or shotgun only may use their state ID as long as it has a photo with their current address. Out-of-state residents may purchase a handgun, but will not be allowed to take possession of the gun until it has been transferred to a Federal firearms licensed dealer in your state who will comply with the laws and regulations of your state in acquisition of the firearm. You must provide Kwik Kash a signed FFL license with mailing address of the dealer it will be shipped to.
Age Requirements
21 years or older to purchase any handgun, including ammunition. 18 years or older to purchase any shotgun or rifle, including ammunition.
Used Guns
All used guns are sold with a 48 hour trial warranty. Upon testing your used weapon’s function, if you find it to not function properly we will repair or exchange the weapon. If your gun does not work, bring it in and we will have our gunsmith take a look at it. If the gun cannot be repaired, we will allow credit towards the purchase of another firearm. No returns after 10 days for any reason. Purchasers of used firearms are urged to contact the manufacturers for a firearms owner’s manual for such firearm.
Our Return Policy
Kwik Kash Pawn Shop is not a warranty repair station. We make no express or implied warranty whatsoever with respect to any merchandise, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The only warranties provided are provided by the manufacturers and are as contained in each manufacturer’s package. Please consult the documentation that came with your purchase for details. We will, however, work with you in a reasonable and responsible manner to resolve any problems you may encounter.
Layaway
Kwik Kash Pawn Shop offers in-store layaway with 20% down and the balance due in 90 days. The merchandise in layaway must be paid towards at least once a month to qualify for 90 days same as cash. If your layaway item(s) are not picked up within the 90 days, the merchandise will be put back into our stock and all the payments made will be non-refundable.
Purchasing Firearms
We will not sell firearms to a anyone if we have a concern that the firearm will be transferred to someone else when you leave our premises. Out-of-state buyers can purchase a Handgun from Kwik Kash Pawn Shop, and we will be happy to ship it to your favorite FFL holder in the buyers state of residence.
State Sales Tax
Tennessee residents are subject to 9.75% sales tax. There is a $10.00 (non-refundable) background check fee charged by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) with the purchase of any firearm.
